Monk's Trail
The sacred path to Wat Pha Lat temple is a hidden gem nestled amid the forests of Doi Suthep Pui National Park, also known as the "Monk's Trail." It historically served as a resting point for pilgrims making their way to the sacred Doi Suthep temple atop the mountain—a significant site for the people of Chiang Mai. The Monk's Trail offers both a physical workout and a spiritual experience. The adventure continues to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a sacred Buddhist temple atop Doi Suthep mountain, showcasing stunning architecture, a golden chedi, and shrines. Enjoy panoramic views of Chiang Mai, starting just outside the city.
The trail winds along a narrow, twisting jungle road, featuring rocky sections, bamboo alleys, and hidden waterfalls. Although mostly shaded, a few steep segments add an interesting challenge to the hike.
